It's a perfect weekend here in North Carolina. The temperature is delightful and everything is blooming.

The only problem is the pollen falling like
snowflakes in winter. I hope your weekend is filled
with meaningful worship and relaxing family time.

How To Beat Them At Their Own Game
Most of you probably hit the day after Christmas sales with
a passion. I have more fun shopping that day than any other.
I LOVE a bargain! Do you do the same after other holidays?
There are always sales after every holiday. If you look
for items without the holiday reference you will be able
to fill your shopping cart with spectacular deals
throughout the year.
As I was pre-shopping today, (a crucial activity for any
sharp bargain hunter) I found dinnerware with matching
pastel tablecloths and napkins. There were no bunnies or
colored eggs on any of the items so their use is not limited
to Easter.
What I Found In The Easter Section At Target
Target had metal buckets with flower cutouts. I am definitely
going to buy a few for storing garden tools. I am also going
to grab some of the cute Easter baskets and snip the large
handles off. They make perfect planters for colorful annuals.
If you love the shape but not the color of the basket, spray
paint it. One year I bought dozens of these when they were
reduced to 90% off and painted them. When I wanted to make a
gift basket for someone I had an inexpensive container ready
to be filled.
Speaking of gifts, this is the time to stock up on bunnies
and other stuffed animals. You will be ready for the next
shower or children's party.
Happy shopping...and don't forget that marked down chocolate
bunnies have half the calories.
