A Season For The Senses

Doesn't it feel wonderful outside?

I think this is one of the most energizing times of the year. You just want to do something fun. This past weekend, I took my mom on a road trip to Wilmington, NC to enjoy the thousands of pink azaleas that have burst into bloom.

My sister lives in this fun beach town and she has an instinct for finding the best places to shop. For us, it becomes a treasure hunt to find creative items and great deals. One of the things that always attracts our attention in stores is the display of candles. The colors and smells are so delicious! I enjoy picking out the perfect scent that will greet people as they step in my front door.

My husband & I love having a fire in our bedroom and we miss it when it is time to clean the ashes out of the fireplace in the spring. To keep the romantic feeling going year round, I fill the empty wood burning fireplace with a collection of candles.

You know all those candles you've received as gifts? Are they hidden away on some shelf or buried deep in a closet? Dig them out this week and light them. They will bring you great joy as the pleasing aroma fills your rooms.
